What is the Workout Time Calculator?

The Workout Time Calculator is a tool designed to help you calculate how much time you have to workout in the gym after taking into account travel and warm-up time. This handy tool will encourage you to get the most out of your workout sessions even with a busy schedule where anyone would think they don't have enough time. It will save you time on trying to manually calculate your available workout time and fitting it into your schedule.

How do you use the calculator?

You simply select the available start and end time which you have available and then input how long it takes for you to travel to and from your workout location, Then input how long it takes for you to get changed/ getting warmed up. Click the "Calculate" button to see your workout time. This calculates how long you have to effectiely workout in the gym after cancelling out the non-workout time.

How is workout time calculated?

The calculator subtracts travel to time, travel home time, and warm-up time from the total time between your selected start and end times.

Can I use a next-day end time?

Yes. If your end time is earlier than your start time, the calculator treats it as next day, up to 12 hours later.

What if the result is negative?

If there isn’t enough time left after travel and warm-up, the calculator shows an error instead of a negative workout time.

Why are hours shown in brackets?

If the workout time is over 60 minutes, the calculator also displays the equivalent hours and minutes to help the user understand it a lot easier.

Why is there a limit on the end time?

The calculator is designed to be used for planning workouts within a realistic and reasonable timeframe.

Could this calculator be used for anything else?

Yes, the calculator could be utilised for anything else such as planning other activities that require time management. However, this is primarily catered to workout planning but this doesn't stop it from being useful for other purposes.
